The advice im getting is pretty much on par with what I thought.
Obviously I've not done the course so Im not aware what exactly what it entails - doing it locally is feasible, but would not be enjoyable and I dont really dive here. Hooray for 8mm wetsuit and 2 foot viz.(that was my OW cert) Sitting on a manufactured bottom clearing my mask wooohoo. I dont want to be sitting around doing that when I could be seeing lots of stuff somewhere I don't go frequently.
Ill be doing it in Kona Plus I normally only do 2 days of dives on vacation, it looks like both Big Island Divers and Jacks do three day 6 dive classes(though are vague if they are shore/boat - what do I care, Im in Hawaii) So its an excuse to dive an extra day!
