    Hi
What Ao Nang dive centre would you recommend for me being a PADI Divemaster? I do not want to take a course; just do a lot of diving with a dive centre that is safe and competent.
    Thanks in advance

Have been diving with them probably a decade - have referred many people to Dan and his team all with nothing but good things to say - I'm not sure if Dan has the need for a DM candidate at the moment but out of the shops in Ao Nang he's shown long term commitment to improving standards and embedding a passion for ocean conservation in all his staff and customers. I've done my CMAS certified through him - extremely thorough as would be the PADI route. Plus I've known two other DM candidates tha t did their DM with another shop in the area then redid it with Dan as they felt they had been given a tick and flick type course.

Thanks Wingy, no interest in DM employment; only a desire to dive with good guides.
    I will look into Poseidon.

@Skulmoski, if you find a good dive center, I highly recommend completing as much of the DM course as you can. I think with a good mentor, you can learn a great deal that will serve you better as a recreational diver even if you never work as a DM or do any other pro certifications. I know there are dive centers in some places that allow you to dive for free while training, which is also a plus. Just my $0.02 FWIW.

Hello CrumhornDiver, I have completed my DM last year. I have no intention of working as a DM; I am a doctor and that is my calling. Thanks for adding your thoughts.
