Anybody going to do any diving over the long weekend? Whitestar, Gilboa, or other? I'm pretty much open for anything.

I wish. I have to work one day and do the family thing one of the two others....trying to find someone to do SOMETHING around here...lol

I have friday through Monday off. I was thinking of taking my newly certified buddies to Gilboa Friday morning since most people have to work and it shouldnt be busy down there yet. Iam about Gilboa'ed out but they want to see the plane I have told them about plus they only just got there cert this past weekend so it would be a good place for them to practice. Then I was going to see if Gary on REC_N_TEC charters still had a couple of openings for maybe Saturday or Sunday but I doubt he does since it is a holiday weekend.

Wish that I could help. It looks like Tri-Mix dives in Alpena for me this weekend. As the instructor is hard to nail down (and it would appear that we are using his boat), it is awful rough to say no!

I also have Friday off. I'm also gilboa'd out & don't want to drive way down there either. I might be up for some inland spots that I haven't seen yet, or maybe dive Algonac if the vis isn't all messed up. There's also several shallow wrecks in the flats that I want to check out. But it looks like cold & rainy weather all weekend so I don't know.
