So I just got certified, and can't wait to dive as much as possible. I live on the South River, just south of Annapolis, MD. Is there anything at all worth getting wet for in the immediate area?

Temp and lack of vis don't bother me - I snorkel and skim the bottom of the river using the 2' vis to watch for interesting rocks and shells. I can do the same with a scuba tank, but I'm hoping there might be something more nearby.

thanks,
dave.

You can probably get 1-2' Viz off of any of the bay beaches in shallow water on a weekday, if there has not been much rain.

If you really want to dive, Guppy Gulch is probably your closest , Dutch Springs is probably 3 - 3 1/2 hours away, once you have some experience and advanced open water, look at OC.

If you are interested, I'll be doing a couple of mid weeks at Dutch in mid July, watch the board, I usully post for buddies
