Anyone using 16GB Class 10 media with S90/S95?

G'morning, all -

As cards get bigger (capacity) and faster, I'm just wondering if they're backwards compatible with the S90/S95. I currently use 8GB Class 6, but when it's time to buy more media, is anyone using 16GB Class 10 cards with those models, and if so, how are they working out? Or are the cards faster than the camera can write to them, and really no improvement?

We have used the Delkin 16gb Class 10 in an S90 and S95 without any problems. The cameras will accept the cards, they just are not able to utilize the memory cards to their full capability (i.e. those cameras do not write at speeds fast enough to put the card to its max).

Thanks! I thought that might be the case, so I guess I can stick with Class 6 ... but should I get another camera in the future with faster write times, I guess it couldn't hurt to go with the faster ones anyway, then I'll have them.

I'm using PNY 8gig class 10 in S95. Difference in speed from class 4 is slightly faster, but that just may be my perception.

I have been using a 8meg Class 10 card in my S90 for the past 2 years. No issues, works great.

How about Mirco SDHC cards with adapter. Are they just as well, or is the "through adapter" speed/usability different?

I order SanDisk Extreme class 10 from Amazon (about $26 for 8GB with shipping). The price difference is small compared to everything else and it will serve in the future.
