It seems that the balanced adjustable is a Mark V.
I did not find any information on the [FONT=&quot]109/156 Adjustable/Balanced Adjustable.

In the 70's the second stage was part of the regulator name (there were no second stage options). When you bought a Mk-5 you always got the diver adjustable second stage with it.

In the early 70's the standard (non diver adjustable) second stage was only available with the Mk-2 and the Mk-3.

The balanced adjustable second was not introduced until the early 80's (maybe very late 70's).
