Anyone tried Under Armour????

for thermal protection with a drysuit.

They're pretty spendy ($50 for a long-sleeve shirt) and designed to wick moisture away from the skin...seems like you could find something way less expensive for a rash guard.
 
There's nothing special about Under Armour vs any other lightweight base layer.

That's also to say that it would kinda suck under a wetsuit. Wearing anything under a wetsuit never works very well.
 
It's fantastic (and worth the money) under a cotton shirt when playing any sport or just jogging. I don't know how it would work under a wet suit though. I tend to agree that it may be better to use a less expensive competitor since the benefit of Under Armour won't come into use when wetsuit diving.
 
I use teh Underarmor shorts instead of a bathing suit under my wet suit. No problems, fits tight to the skin so there is no bunching like swim trunks or board shorts. No thermal protection though.
