While listening to our music selection today, I had a thought....
Are there any scubaboarders headed to Curacao especially Westpunt, who still might be buying music on CDs? I'd love some new tunes; jazz, blues, and rock from the baby :guitarist:boomers' bands. If you bring your disks, I'll download them and enjoy.
Just add this to the list of odd requests to bring to the island..... seriously your apartment owner or dive master might appreciate this as well.:guitarist:

Sunshine,

I'll pack an assortment of ours to bring along with us.

Someone has brought to my attention that I have asked to pirate music. With the high price of magazines and books on the island, I'm always grateful when people leave me their copies of Time, People or a new paperback. I guess I kinda thought that once a CD was purchased, like a book it could be physically shared. Please pardon my ignorance. Sunshine

Uh...I swear, I had no idea that purse I bought at a flea market for $35 was a Kate Spade knock-off. I was told it was the real deal, honestly!

I don't exactly know when I will be down in Curacao again but I would be happy to mail you some 'replica' CD's. I have a killer Motown one with some Barry White numbers and other CD's with classic rock and roll.

Hi Sunshine,
We will be heading down next week. Do you have any favorite artists in mind? Look forward to meeting you. Thanks for all of your great information, you are a wonderful ambassador of Curacao. Thank You for all of your time and information-You are Wonderful!!

Sunshine,

Y'all are still welcome to listen to what we bring with us, for a change of pace, while we're on-island. A break from the same old same old is nice at times.

Really folks, in a moment of bored selfishness, I made a mistake. I truly love this connection I have with you back in the states and just wasn't thinking. Come visit the island, dive east end, west end and everything in between. Stop by. We do have a great selection of music, you'll love it. OK, the guy from France was looking for some Edith Pilaf. I think I once had an album but unfortunately it doesn't fit into the slot on the computer..... The weather has been great, visibility super and everyone (no exaggeration) has seen turtles on almost every dive and the dive boats have had pods of dolphins for company on the way to the dive sites. There have been dolphins in Westpunt bay almost daily and along the cliffs from here to at least Lagun. I'll be on the look out for a flaming red lobster on my next dives - John, you thought I was slow before.... Meanwhile, I know even less about handbags. I'd have bought that knock off for 5 bucks just because it was cute. Thanks again Janine, I still show someone that measuring cup you brought me at least once a week. I love it!
For more scuba related controversy; I've never been too keen on the lack of dive info or suggestions the Curacao Dive Festival offers. "Daily dives with the Dive Center of your choice" If you are coming for the festival the last week of May or any time, please feel free to email me with any questions. There are a lot of great boat dives and last year some of the ops changed their schedule to offer the more popular sites. But there are a lot of great shore dives as well, especially if you plan to drive to some of the workshops offered at the different locations. It would be nice to know what was relatively near by. But unfortunately, no movie this year. See you guys soon!

Well Sunshine, I'll pack some paperback books that we're done with and bring them along anyway. There's the 3 John McKinna dive advennture easy breezy reading books staring at me from across the home office right now. I know I still have a number of SF paperbacks that haven't been touched in years that I can bring as well.

Thanks, you're coming to Westpunt/All West for the first part of your trip right? See you in a month. David has a mountain biking club for the local kids. I'll PM you if he's looking for a part in June. There are 2 divers in town this week who might be biking his trails with him as well. If you ride (technical), bring your shoes. No need to pack extra books,/weight just leave the paperbacks you've read on vacation. The American Womens club has an annual book fiesta where we sell the books almost for a song, wink wink, for our charity fund. I've ordered a few on CD that our guests are bringing next week. See you next month!
