No you do not need wreck cert. But again it is cold water 40-45 degrees and beyond Ow recommended limits of 60 feet. This is an advanced dive any way you cut it.

Trip report? If I had remembered this sooner I would have brought my gear to PA last time I went home. Any more Erie area charter plans?

It did not go. We could not get enough divers for the boat. Only 5 signed up. 50 foot boat with twin 750hp diesels needs more than that just to cover fuel cost let alone crew, oil, insurance etc. There are other trips scheduled but I don;t know of I'll make them. Weekends are screwed pretty much from here on in and the Monday dives are just a bit out of my range at 170-200feet. I'm good to 160 with mix but that is also a 50-75 dollar fill as opposed to 10-15 for nitrox.

Bummer! I've been diving shallower than is typical of most years myself. Figure after being out of the water for 1.5 years I should work back to depth. Perhaps another time.
