Anyone interested in Diving Key Largo in October?

I am arranging a dive with three local friends to go to Key Largo, Fl on October 27th.
We will be flying down in a small airplane. I was going to invited anyone else that may want to meet us down for the dive. I have listed the prices below.

5 boat dives (10 tanks) $200.00 this inculdes weights and tanks.


Bestwestern Key Largo when booked through Silent World
$112.00 taxes included per night.

We are going down on a Thursday night which is the 27th and will be leaving on Sunday the 30th.

$112.00 * 3 = $336.00
5 boat dives = $200.00

We dove with this operation last year and they were cool. The hotel was roomy for two people. It is 2 levels with 2 baths, one double bed, and a pull out couch on the bottom level with full kitchen.

FWIW – I’ve found the FBO at Marathon to be cheaper and better than flying into either Homestead or Kendall. If you need a fuel/potty break, Wauchula used to be a great little stop.

We considered that last time. We went into homestead which is 35 mi from the hotel and marathon is 48 so it is not that big of a difference. Fuel price will be the main consideration along with rental car services. What does FWIW mean?

I just found the folks at Marathon to be super friendly and there used to be some fun planes parked there. I find www.airnav.com to have the most up to date fuel prices and great comments about the FBOs.

AAMOF (as a matter of fact ), yes, I have been tryign to set up a dive for my club to come down on those exact dates. I think we will join you. We are going to drive down on the 27th, dive the 28-30, and drive back on the 31st. Ill check it out and let you know.

You guys are welcome. Did you all plan on diving with Silent World? I think they have two boats but I am not sure. I think they will dive up to like 8 divers on one.
