Be ready for a shock moving to Morgan City. There are some great people there but they will very different than anyone you know in FL.

no not really. I was Born and raised in St Charles Parish. About 20 miles east of MC . You won't understand a word they say at first but they are great people. And a word to the wise, don't say anything about LSU or that your a gator fan. 
You will enjoy the best food on earth by far
