Anyone ever modify a housing to fit another camera ?

Got all needed parts (new control rods, stainless bolts...) and am going to slap it all together sometime next week. I have a dive to 95 fsw scheduled for the 17th. I want to take the housing down empty and leave it on the bottom for about two hours to see how it holds up. Then it should be ready for the camera. I have another dive on the 25th. I'd like to be able to shoot some video.
