Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone has had good luck with a cheap mask fin snorkel package. I bought one a couple years ago and never really used it. I found the set again and took it out snorkeling for about an hour. I was amazed, the snorkel worked great....the mask didn't leak (and I have a mustache) or fog what so ever. The water was cold, about 50-55F and I did a few short freedives to 10-15 feet with no issue's.

Before I got the scuba bug I got the snorkeling bug.
(so parents, be carefull, if your kids start to snorkel, it may lead so scuba).
I started as a kid snorkeling with a black neoprene mask with a metal band around the glass, and a black plastic snorkel with neon orange tape at the end for visibility. I think the Smithsonian would like to get their hands on this set.
Eventually, as I started traveling to tropical places, I purchased a U.S. diver combo for $30. I still use this gear for snorkeling, it works just fine, and I don't have to be too finicky with it like my scuba gear. I use my scuba gear, just for scuba.
