I'll be there with my dive buddy and am eager to test out all my new equipment; new regulator, new light, new springs for fins and new octo... Plus I'm diving Faber steel 100's for the first time....

Get there about 8:30am and the water looks great, calm and nice visibility. As we suit up and 10 minutes elapses, conditions go from nice to terrrible visibility and many divers are getting out of the water. We dive as a pair, locked up so we don't get lost and exhaust our first tank. Many divers are surfacing lost, trying to find their dive buddy.

I was so eager to try out all my new equipment and because of visibility, the camera stayed on dry land. Just as we get out some divers tell us that Lovers Point is just incredible.

So we back up with a fresh tank refill and dry over to Lovers point, and are astonished on how clear the water is, about 20+ visibility. As a first time diver at lovers point my buddy and I ran into seals, crabs, fish, jelly fish and yes our first encounter with leopard sharks, a pack of 6 cruise by.

I have every specimen mentioned on video and will be placing it here for all to view; it's my first time using my Canon SD 800is and it was great. Talk about beginners luck...

Here is a quick teaser pic of me in the water at about 35 feet at Lovers point, too tired to post all the pics tonight...

Okay Im JEALOUS! I tried to get the wife to go, or the son and both flaked. Threatened pony bottle and reg purchase if they refuse again. Sounds and looks like nice diving. Aw well next week for sure even if I have to buy the dam pony (which I have been looking for an excuse to get for months now :D ). Nice Pics.

:11doh: Link doesnt work for me.

Great pics!...I posted our Fri dive at breakwater and the vis was less than 2'...hoped it would get better but from your experiance it doesnt look like it did...heard that those that went south /ie..lovers and lobos it the vis was pretty decent...you made a wise choice to move and it looks like it paid off...hoping BW is better this friday...I'll post the vis...

Sunday at Breakwater was even worse. I was teaching an OW class and had to cancel the dive because there was absolutely zero visibility. I couldn't even see my hand in front of my face. I heard the red tide has cleared and conditions are getting better. I will be there next weekend to finish up my class so I hope it continues to improve.

Great pics by the way - I still haven't gotten a picture of a seal. I seem to always be without my camera whenever I see one.
