Get there about 8:30am and the water looks great, calm and nice visibility. As we suit up and 10 minutes elapses, conditions go from nice to terrrible visibility and many divers are getting out of the water. We dive as a pair, locked up so we don't get lost and exhaust our first tank. Many divers are surfacing lost, trying to find their dive buddy.
I was so eager to try out all my new equipment and because of visibility, the camera stayed on dry land. Just as we get out some divers tell us that Lovers Point is just incredible.
So we back up with a fresh tank refill and dry over to Lovers point, and are astonished on how clear the water is, about 20+ visibility. As a first time diver at lovers point my buddy and I ran into seals, crabs, fish, jelly fish and yes our first encounter with leopard sharks, a pack of 6 cruise by.
I have every specimen mentioned on video and will be placing it here for all to view; it's my first time using my Canon SD 800is and it was great. Talk about beginners luck...
Here is a quick teaser pic of me in the water at about 35 feet at Lovers point, too tired to post all the pics tonight...
