I'd like to use BT to connect my OC1 to my desktop and Subsurface, skipping the DivePal app on my android phone, which works fine. I'm unable to get Subsurface on the phone to connect to DCBuddy as well, thought I'd try it on my desktop.

Try OceanLog app:
Thanks, but I already use OceanLog. it works fine to my PC, with the download cable.
I'm trying to work out a BT interface for mobile use.
The DCBuddy works fine with the DivePal app on my phone; but the DivePal app is limiting, so I've been trying to use Subsurface. It almost works to my phone, but I can't even get started with my PC without the PIN.

have you tried something obvious like "0000"
or you can ask here:
It's seems their app support DCBuddy

There was topic on DavNev forum about bluetooth code but it's not woking:

Yes, I tried all the usual, 4 digits, 5, and 6. I had high hopes for 1234! Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.

Found this in APK code

Please connect to a bluebuddy first. Download Log From Device Connection Instructions hhAfter connecting, you will be prompted for a Bluetooth Passkey. Enter "0" in this prompt and press "OK".

@Rygar Appreciate your help! Unfortunately, 0 did not connect/pair, nor did 00 nor 000 nor 0000.
Where in the decompiled APK did you find that note?
Also, my phone is android, so the divelog solution won't work for me.
And yes, I went down the archived divenav forum rabbit hole, but the hole wasn't very deep....

ADDED: never mind, I found it in strings.xml. Dang, no way to interpret that other than 0.

You can aslo check your windows Bluetooth driver. Change it to Microsoft default driver. Check here for similiar problem:
