We have heard that it is only possible to do under really good conditions. If anybody has done it, what time of year was it?

Wave conditions were too rough when I went with BECD on Dec. 31 and Jan. 4. I think it is more likely to be able to do it in the Summer and Fall. The trade winds have really been ripping lately.

Dove White Hole last week with ECDs. White Hole drift over the reef crest to Turtle City. ~75 Tarpon in the hole — excellent. Vis was not awesome as the wind had been up the last couple weeks and just started to lighten a bit.

I've done the dive by boat a number of times. I'm not brave enough to do it from shore. Once, there was a wind direction inversion so flat calm, but it's usually pretty rough. ECD has the boat set up and experience to make it safe and easy.
