I'm Laurie in NYC, but can easily drive to CT or RI, where I'm originally from and was certified.

I want to dive as much as possible before it becomes impossible. And I don't think I have the money for the dry suit this year so the end of the season is sooner for me than others.

Any takers? Oh, and I'm new but a serious learner, quick to laugh, and easy going.

Hi Laurie,

It's looking like my wife and I will be diving in RI this coming weekend hoping to spot a few tropicals while they are there and enjoy the milder side of late summer New England ocean diving.

It's looking like we'll be doing Ft Wetherill in Jamestown and elsewhere. We plan to drive down from Maine Saturday AM for a dive or two and then more on Sunday, driving home Monday AM.

As far as the site I'll be winging it but I do enjoy diving with new divers. PM me if you have interest. The dives will be conservative from what I read and should be well suited to a new diver.

Thanks so much for the offer. I actually may be there as well. I'm going to be working on my AOW certification with a dive shop on Jamestown. I believe they often do their training at Ft. Weatherill.

We'll have a maroon van if we make it, Maine registration GILSONS.

Laurie, it sounds like there will be several ScubaBoarders there Saturday morning, myself included.

Since I've been invited by another group in the early morning, I can't offer to buddy up until after my morning dives. I may do some more diving around noon, so just ask. I'd be glad to buddy up then. :)

My car is a light blue '94 Camry, NH plates, and I'm planning on parking in the farthest lot. Not sure if the farthest lot is on the east side or the west side or its proximity to the boat launch.

It will be good to get acquainted with other ScubaBoarders, so I'll look for Spectrum, too.

It should be a great day!
