I'm going to be diving in South Florida in a couple months. I am new to diving and like the boat outfits insofar as you can always get buddied up with someone. I don't like the expense however. If I were doing shore dives, I'm sure I could afford to do more diving than I currently anticipate. However, since I don't know anyone down there and I assume that there isn't such a thing as a commercial shore dive, I anticipate that I will just go with the boats. But maybe I'm wrong. Are there shore diving sitees down there where you can just show up and go diving with others, maybe a guided trip even, who are there for the same reason - for a more modest fee than if you were getting transported out to an offshore site?

Thanks,
Dave
