Any Lionfish sightings in Curacao?

It is inevitable that lionfish are going to descend onto the ABC islands. They are already being spotted in Roatan and the Cayman islands. Just a year ago they were a non issue in Cozumel, now simply spotting one is common. Hopefully the other destinations will be more aggressive in controlling them -that is if they can even be controlled.

The Bahamas are a great place to dive if you want to see sharks, other than that, there is not much to see in the way of Carribean fish. The Lionfish have wiped out a majority of them. Hopeully Cozumel will take more aggressive measures. Once a lionfish claims its territory around a coral head, it takes 5 weeks for them to wipe out all fish which reside on the same coral head. Hopefully the ABC's will be more proactive when the first one is spotted.
