Thanks to everyone. Your descriptions have given me an idea of what I could expect. I guess I was just trying to figure out if there was a place I go other than my cabin to relax a bit without being in the sun the entire time.

This sounded like a good middle between Aggressor type trips and Blackbeards and after hearing your reviews I still believe that to be true. I've never done Aggressor but have done Blackbeard's and although I enjoyed the diving I don't wish to repeat that again. A little too "campy" for me. This sounds a step above.

We usually do Explorer Venture trips but with the way their prices keep rising every year, I was looking for something a little less expensive.

...did my 1st liveaboard on Juliet 2004 and had a nice time, and although it was my only trip with them, overall I'd join the others here and recomment them. Internally, the boat is cramped, much smaller internally than say an Explorer boat or the Nautilus Explorer, although admittedly JULIET maxes @ 12 divers versus the other boats @ 24 divers.....on a per diver basis JULIET is still cramped......moving about inside made me feel as if I were in an old WW II U-boat. Also, as a steel hulled boat, gotta warn ya the deck area when in full sun is very HOT on the feet! (unless the crew erects the shaded canvas 'hiding area'...which they were pretty good about doing when needed.) The crew was great, although I'm sure the crew has been changed out several times over since I was there in 2004, so I have no idea about that now. I'm sure you'll have a good time on JULIET, as long as you keep your luxury and space under decks expectations 'in check'.
