Seen...near the surface at San Juan today. Approximately 1/2 in size and somewhat translucent. No doubt someone will know what it is?

could it be a copepod or is that to big to be one?

i looked it up its way to big to be one lol they are 1-2 mm
 
I love finding stuff like that when I'm floating along on a safety stop...as long as they don't try and cozy up to me, that is :-D
 
Not Thimble Jelly fish at all. Those are a deep purple and indeed shaped like a thimble. Stange thing, but I only know what it is not.
