welcome to :sblogo:

If I were you, I would definitely look into Dive Quest at Epcot. It's a little pricey but supposedly all the money goes to their wildlife fund. They have rays, sharks, turtle... Perfect vis plus it's fun to be part of the show for the Disney guests. Your friends and family can watch you from the other side of the glass! It is so much fun and completely worth it. Plus you get a cool t-shirt
Here is a link-- Dive Quest
Otherwise, you'd have to drive down to West Palm area to do any decent diving (about a 3 hour drive).

Dive Quest was fun when I did it. If your going to be in Orlando you are center of a lot of great diving. You could head North to the springs or head to either coast. There is some great shark tooth diving in Venice, which is a 3 hour trip from Orlando. I am not familiar with the East coast but I am sure someone can tell you the good spots. It all depends on what you are looking for.

Hey Gracie,

I think we met on Face Book! :D I live here in the Orlando area. What type of diving did you want to do and just how long are you here?

We have Springs, reefs, Shark tooth diving as well as others.

Where did we get to with this, it seems to have ended. Im coming out in October 08 and NEED to dive. Divequest already booked but need something real, something less commercialised as well. In other words, some proper diving.
Im staying at Lake Beauna Vista and advise is appreciated.

If you are willing to drive 3 hours, Ft. Lauderdale has some killer dives, the best north of the keys.

there are several very good spring dives, you'll need a wet suit of course. Blue, Paradise, Devil's den and Blue Grotto to just name a few. what type of dive(s) are you wanting?

I am at rescue diver level and just want some fun diving. I love diving that has at least one aspect of the WOW. Even if its an hour of just nice scenery as long as it just has that one thing that gets your juices going. Im traveling 9 hours on a plan to see a giant mouse so 3 hours in a car to see sharks, turtles, rays etc is a small sacrifice lol.

You could hunt for giant sharks teeth in Venice, see wonderful reefs in Boynton Beach or there abouts, or even dive a spring and see some fresh water sites. It's whatever that tickles your fancy.
