Any dive companies that pick up from Playa del Carmen to dive Cozumel OR from the ferry in Coz?

Phocea sends you from their shop in PDC to their shop in Coz - via ferry and taxi. Then you walk across the street in Coz to their boat. I’ve done it a few times.

Pro: all 1 price and you get escorted the whole way.

A more independent traveller could just arrange the ferry tickets and taxis and timing themselves and save a few bucks
Thanks!

Just curious... how long for the PDC dive boats to get to the Coz dive sites? 60 to 90 minutes?
If you book with a PDC to Coz, do ask if the boat is a little Panga or not. If so, be sure if they have Life Vests onboard and wear one.

Depends on conditions and what specific dive site you are headed to. Xaman-ha is the faster boat, and can do under 50 minutes to Santa Rosa wall if I remember correctly. Over 60 if conditions are “sporty” - and the ride can be very bumpy.

The other boat is slower and bigger. It’s more stable though, so the ride is a bit comfier. Both are definitely wet 😅

On a good day, you get two 60 minute dives and you are back in Playa by 3 pm.

Whichever shop you book through, better to ask a few days in advance, especially in high season. Someone mentioned Cenotexperience above - great guys.
Xaman Ha is the only boat in Playa Del Carmen that has Cozumel Parque Marino Permits. They cross all the time.

contact matt at tank ha. they used to run their own boat to coz. a lot has changed the last couple of years so i am not 100% sure they still do.

There at least used to be another one doing the crossing called la Bestia, as recently as this past December. Can’t confirm whether it is still running or not though, haven’t been over to Coz since February.

Don't think I've seen that boat.

I saw a few dive companies that look like they will transport from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel, but it looks like it's all day for only 2 dives. My thought is it's likely better for us to take the ferry over ourselves and get in 4 dives. Any suggestions on dive shops that may depart from PC to Coz that offer more than 2 dives OR any dive shops that pick up from the ferry in Coz?
TIA
Son and his GF dove Coz with Scuba 10 out of PDC a few years ago. All day affair, got 2 tanks in. They enjoyed it.

Dive ops do not pick up from the ferry dock.

Call Alex at Jungle Divers if you'd like someone to do the legwork for you or help you figure out how to plan it out. She's great. I suspect taxis have a lock on the ferry, so no dive op or excursion would be able to pick you up there. But getting to their shop is a $5 taxi ride. If you couldn't make a morning boat dive (need to be at the shop by 9 or at Fonatur Marina by 9:20 as the boat leaves at 9:30) you could do an afternoon and/or sunset or night dive at Tikila, or a sunset and night dive off a boat. Plenty of options.
