Seems like a silly question but, I need advice on how to attach Dive Reel (reef Scuba 4" survivor, Overkill I know....) and still be stream lined without it dangeling, I have practiced using it in the pool but have not been too concerned with location on BC yet and just clip it onto one of the lower D rings, would you tuck it up under your bc? Or just let it hang as it is only a few inches off of BC when horizontal?

Also, when you are doing your checkout dives can you utilize one dive as more than one topic? IE Boat, Deep and Wreck all in one dive? or is based on the Dive shops guidelines, Or set by PADI?

As always thank you, insight and advice!

Are you referring to ADVANCED Open Water?

Have you actually regristered for the course? If so, do you have the required materials? Have you had a conversation with the instructor? They'd be the best person to tell you what to expect. Deep and Navigation are required. The other three are "elective" but many shops say "here's how we do it."

No - you can't kill two dives with one stone.

I would clip it where you had it in the pool. While it may not be in muscle memory, it's better than trying to remember where it is or how to detach it on a checkout dive.

No credit for boat diving during a wreck dive while training, sorry.
Otherwise an instructor would combine deep, night, boat, wreck and buoyancy and be done in one dive. As a student you don't want that.

Yes AOW, and already completed Classroom and Pool Instruction, just waiting on warmer temps. And I know the Nav. and Deep are required. I am doing Wreck, Boat, and Peak Performance as my 3. And I had briefly had convo with instructor about checkout dives, but One of our Open water Locations Lake rawlings is up in the air at the moment so the shop is waiting to see what happens to schedule their open water stuff as we do not have a set location yet.

Thanks
Gary
