Hi guys, I'm thinking of going to stay at Anthony's for a week and I'm wondering about a few things. Well the place looks nice and I'm sure the diving is good, but I'm a single guy going it alone for a week. This place seems very family oriented and I'm wondering if I'll be out of place here. Is there any kind of nightlife around here or should I check some other resorts?

Thank you!

I have not been there in some time, but there was no night life at all...bring your own..

I was at Anthony's Key this July and while the place is beautiful, Diving is amazing, there is no night life. Not sure about the other places on the Island.

you might think about CoCo View....but still no night life except for their bar or night diving....Welcome to CoCo View Resort check out their chat board....CoCo Chat

quite a few singles go to this resort....it is all adult resort no kids unless the are divers;)

Well thanks for the quick input there. Yeah I found a package deal through a travel agent for AKR. Seems pretty good but now I'm kinda looking more towards Utila. Some people on this site claim the diving is better and there is more of a nightlife.

Let us know how that works out for you.

Well, It would be cool to meet up down there but I'm thinking of heading there early in october. Does anyone think there will be good chance of seeing whale sharks then?? Need to tick them off my list. ;)

There is an operation on Utila that has a $1000 Whale Shark Guarantee. You throw down the extra $1000 before the week's diving and they will try like all get out to help you tick them off your list. If you don't see a Whale Shark- you get the MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

In the mean time you can tick other things off of your list. Like a few varieties of Pipefish.

You in?
