Christi:
I've received only two e-mails from you. The first was answered the same day and the second was received while I was away and you should have received my out-of office reply. I am still working through some of those e-mails. I also answered your PM.

I'll be online all day today.
:crafty: I hope I caught you online. We are looking forward to diving with you in May. The countdown is moving too slowly!

We just got back from Coz last night (our first trip there, and not our last) and used Blue Angel based on many SB recommendations. We were not disappointed. Small fast boats, shade (important to consider as some of the small fast boats do not have shade), and the DMs take care of setting up your tanks for you. Picked us up at 8:30 every morning, never more than 8 total divers on board. I'd go with them again without hesitation. And if you book well in advance (we did not!) you can stay at Caribe Blu, which is where Blue Angel operates out of.

A group of us from the board (11) just got back from Coz on Thursday 3/24. We stayed at Caribe Blu and dove with Blue XT Sea for six days and 16 dives (plus some shore dives on our own too :)). We were very well taken care of!!! We would see Christi every morning before the boat arrived at the dock. The authorities were doing safety checks on the boats and all of hers passed, no problemo. When we got there on the 17th there was a big thunderstorm in Cancun and some general rough weather, lots of boats hadn't gone out for a few days. Christi made sure we did by arranging for a bigger boat (yes slow, but hey, I came to DIVE, not wait for better weather).

Usual first class amenities, towels, windbreakers, snacks (I don't treat my kids this well) and my gear not only on the boat and set up but rinsed too. But really, what impressed me the most, was seeing her each morning before we left and at the surface intervals.

When I'm on vacation I just love to be spoiled. :blinking:
I've been looking at airfares all weekend. :sly:

Liquid Blue! Blue XT Sea! Excellent time. Excellent dives. Excellent people. There is so much on this board to back me up, I needn't say anymore.

Happy, Safe Diving!!!! :thumbs-up

Trying to decide on which dive op to try and go with around the middle/end of may and want some opinions. Right now at the top of my list are Deep Blue and Living Underwater. I have dove with Blue XT Sea and looking for something like them. I would dive Blue XT Sea again but I have not gotten any responses in the past few weeks to emails or pm’s that I have sent on available open dates. I prefer smaller dive boats, 6-packs. Thanks.

i have had a similar communication problem with Blue XT Sea. my initial e-mail was answered promptly, but none of my repeated follow-up e-mails were answered at all. not even an out-of-office reply.

then someone recommended Dive with Martin, and i am very glad i took the advice. small/fast boats, out early and back early, excellent DMs, and very reasonable price.

go on their website and you'll find Stacy Burton's contact info. she is their US rep located in Texas. she is a full-fledged travel agent and can make all the arrangements for you, if you need them. she found a great hotel deal for me and was very helpful all around. highly recommended.

If you deal directly with Martin and pay cash he'll give you a discount :eyebrow:
I love to save pesos :):)

Blue XT Sea!

Fun, safe and we had such a great time with them last year. My dad celebrated his birthday down there last year, and Christi brought a cake down to the beach for him between one of the dives. I was pretty impressed with that. We also had some inexperienced divers in our group, including myself, and her divemasters were very patient. If you search this forum, you will probably find hundreds of happy posts about Blue XT Sea.

I've used Dive Paradise and Sand Dollar. Which I believe are two of the biggest dive operators on the island. I prefer Dive Paradise because I found the dive masters to be more knowledgeable, experienced, and well, I just hate cattle boats. It is soooo much easier to enjoy your self in a group of 8 people instead of 24. Also I like the Dive Paradise boats, they seemed a lot nicer and well kept. im not sure about some of the smaller operators, but the deal from Dive Paradise was sure good.

It's good that you found a shop you like and had a good time, but if you didn't receive her out-of-office reply, did it occur to you that she may not have even received your follow-up messages? Every time I've written them I've either gotten the out-of-office reply or a quick response. I know they have internet connection problems quite often in Cozumel, so it's possible your messages were lost in cyberspace somewhere.
