Went out to Hens and Chickens. Seas were light and viz was at least 35 feet which is great for this reef.
Irmas impacts here were fairly obvious, lobster traps and lines all over the place and too numerous to count
3 or 4 10 ft pvc pipes were found also.
Garbage bags on the fans
The branch corals were still there but missing the growth like our trees leaves
Fish life was not as abundant but more varied for some reason
Alot of the reef was covered with sand but there seemed to be no significant structural damage.
All in all to be expected not good but not as bad as i figured it would be
 
I am surprised that there wasn't more damage on this site as close to the surface some of the coral heads are but glad to hear. I love this site when conditions are right. Thanks for the update.
