I dunno about whether it is really possible - but their little physics equation is just stupid. Their equations assume that the cow is completely rigid, which cows are not. It is possible (though, again - I don't know) that it takes very little force to make the cow's weight shift to the side, and then that angle that must be overcome is greatly decreased.

In my case, there were a bunch of us high school students in a field in the Sierra Nevadas late one night. There was a bunch of bug noises, and a few isolated cows sitting down about 100 feet from a fence. The bug racket masked our slow creeping over the fence; none of the cows moved. After some heated whispering, four of my guy friends dashed off like lightning towards the closest cow and barrelled into it. It fell over. Then it got pissed and ran away.
