Going thru I was think this one is my favorite....no this one...no the next one....all great shots Tim! did you take them with the 7070? I think I remember you saying you wanted to get the 330...

All shots were taken with the 7070. But I had a serious case of gear envy when I was diving with the DSLR guys. :eyebrow: Think I will be housing my D200 in X'mas.

lol...you're gonna have to be a very good boy....

Shopping is always fun - but remember, it's not the equipment:

Ah, but it is. Some of the shots that I want to try with skittish critters, I cannot achieve with my current setup. Try getting within 6 inchs of a lizard fish or hawkfish. Really tough. Also, with higher aperture settings, I can control the light better. And it looks really cool :D

:) I know.. but with a 105mm macro, I can fill the frame at 2 feet away. I saw some shots taken on the 350D with the 100mm. Ie i can fill the frame without getting too close to the subject and scaring it off.

LOL - Now I see what you're saying. And it's what I thought when I set up my gear. But I found that my 100 macro stays on the shelf while I use my 60mm. I have to get so much closer with the 60mm and lighting can be a ****** but closer is better :)

I keep thinking I will put the 100 on but I seem to always choose the 60 - everything's a tradeoff and there are things the 100 can do that the 60 can't & vice versa, but I discovered that the 60 can do a lot more than I thought it would be able to (I was very concerned about having to get so close...turns out that really isn't too much of an issue for a great many things.)

Having to get further away with the 100 creates its own problems some days...

My advice - buy both :D :D

OH and don't forget the Woody!!
