Howdy all...

I'm John and I'm fairly new to this board. So I thought I would do an introduction...

I'm a NAUI Advanced cert diver with about 60 or so dives under my belt. Nothing too spectacular so far: Monterey Bay, Channel Islands, San Diego, rivers in Oregon, and flooded quarries in the Midwest.

I'm hoping to continue progressing with my dive certifications, starting again this spring. In time and with some luck, I'll earn an instructor's cert at some point. I'm a former firefighter/EMT, but I now work as a software engineer.

Anyway, I live in Silicon Valley and I'm always looking for a dive partner. I can often dive on short notice. I have a very healthy respect for the potential danger of diving and expect my partners to have the same. I don't at all mind diving with new divers. If you are interested in partnering up, drop me an e-mail.

Regards,

John

Welcome! You'll love it here.

Sounds like you and stevezak need to get together. He just joined the board too and is looking for someone to dive with. So am I, but I guess I need a female to dive with so my husband won't be upset! :)

Anyway, you can view stevezak's post here in Introductions and Greets and maybe you two can get together. He's going to Cozumel in a couple weeks and is looking for someone to dive with. It's awesome diving there; if you could swing a trip I could even give you some inexpensive places to stay, someone to dive with, a place to find good fares and such if you are interested.

Hey, I just had a thought. My husband said I could go diving without him so if a few people decided to go to Cozumel to dive then I could go too since I'd be with a group. Any takers?

Jump right in with both feet, just be careful you don't step on Dons #3-12...they seem to like to be on the bottom of the pond!

Hey John, let me know if you head back down to San Diego, I'm in the water all the time here and would love to be your dive buddy.
