Sea the World is my shop, too. Craig and James are the best around!

I'd be up for a Thumb dive schedule permitting.

Paula - who went to Truk for the 2nd time this past Jan/Feb.

I'll check around on some charters unless we can come up with some private boats to do it. Is there any particular sites that you all want to do? It's been a while since I've seen the Regina and the Mary Alice B. :D

PS Sorry for the thread hi-jack but I figured we'd all have more fun with diving introductions.:hi: :scuba:

Let me know what's up. Weather's chancy this late in the year. But if time allows my wife and I could jump in the water again.

Regina has been fun this year, with 30-40 foot vis. Haven't been on the Mary Alice this year. Going up with the Shop to Tobe. in October. Any others making the trip?

Paula - been to Truk twice also, once with Thorfin, second with Aggressor. My preference is the Aggressor. Who did you dive with?

Welcome!

STW huh? Not a bad place to do business!

Did you go to Tob last year with the shop?

GLDiver once bubbled...

STW...That's where I work from. Nice guys. Craig has taken nice care of me (and mine) for a few years now. Be sure to say hi if you see me in there.

take care and dive safe!---brandon

Hi Brandon - Thank you for the VIP on that tank.

GLDiver - In 1995 we were on The Agressor w/ Captain Lenny. This year we chartered The Odyssey w/ Captain Lenny and his wife Cara. Both were wonderful charters. Between the two I liked the extra space and layout on The Odyssey. & the price was decent considering we 'bought' the boat and split the freebies.

SCORE ResQ - I did less diving in the Huron Preserve than usual. Was only on the Mary Alice B this year so I'd be up for anything. I get Gary Venet / Rec & Tec's emails stating available charter space if that would help.

Paula, yeah if you can get info on some charter space that would be great. Does anyone have any particular dates in mind that we could pull this off? My schedule is pretty flexible as I work every Mon. & Wed. and every other weekend. ( I know most are jealous that I get a four day weekend every other weekend :D)

I do know that Adventure Scuba does charters to the Huron Preserve. I have had positive experiences with them in the past. I will contact them and see what I can come up with. I'll keep ya'll updated.

By all means, if anyone else has some info, please do share. :D

I personally am a big fan of Gary Venet's. He has a great boat. Lot's of room and very accomodating to the divers. He does everything from rec to tech and even does some Tuesday and Thursday evening single tank dives for $25.
(Hi Paula! You're welcome for the VIP...But when did I VIP your tank?...I don't work in service anymore...although if I'm in there stealing gas and if they are busy, I'll chip in...I use to manage their service department way back when, but am strictly teaching now...and almost exclusively on the road with GUE so I am only in there very rarely now.)

Can you get some quotes on single day, two dive charters? Also, I'm working on the schedule and some more buddies for the DIR-F course, I'll let you know. (hopefully before the snow comes)

I'll give him a call in the morning (I'm sure he's still on his boat or just heading home now.) and see what he has open. Gary fills up fast but may have a few dates with slots still available. I am going to assume nice, leisurely rec dives. I believe that they were in the $60 a head range for two dives. Don't quote me though.
I'll post what he has availbale onto this thread.
Hope to see you in the class. It's going to be a lot of fun!
