@Superlyte27 thanks for answering. I assume I am not among the 10 smart guys in this forumWell, 500ft=150m is way less than 240+m and totally within a "safe" area (safe means that we are reasonably sure that no physiological surprises will happen in a normal person).
I am curious, why did you go? There may be plenty of good reasons, it would be nice to make us know if you don't mind
Very little welding is being done underwater now. There's are better more permanent ways of doing things. FYI, I am (was) an underwater welderplenty of saturation commercial divers. Maybe @Akimbo can explain more, and say if I’m wrong.
Well, anyone with a different opinion than him is dumb. Obviously. /s@Superlyte27 thanks for answering. I assume I am not among the 10 smart guys in this forum
I disagree with Trace almost 100% of the time. So, there’s that. But at least he attacks problems with logic, intelligence and common sense.Well, anyone with a different opinion than him is dumb. Obviously. /s
Actually, in Croatia, they do a lot of deep-tech diving stuff - check Krnica diving... Is it prohibited everywhere? Or do people just need some authorizations? It is hurting someone, Tec diving is not a big industry in Europe. If someone decides that 5 dead people in a lake is enough it is perfectly reasonable to prohibit tec diving like in Croatia, where every recreational dive over 40m is 100% illegal.
And is there any lack of common sense or logic in asking you why you went that deep?I disagree with Trace almost 100% of the time. So, there’s that. But at least he attacks problems with logic, intelligence and common sense.
One of the very few divers in the world who can say that!I know the Shearwater works 700+

15 more days and I'll be thereI'm from Vis island, we have like 3 dive spots shallower than 40 meters. But in the law it clearly states that you are not allowed to do tourist (or recreational dives) bellow 40m. Everyone ignores it, including the ministry inspectors but it's there due to a number of deep air incidents in the 80s.
