I vote for the Zebra Mussel. Without them, fresh water diving would really be bad!

I recall doing a "drift dive" in the Shark River Inlet, looking to spear a few flounder. Caught it during horseshoe crab mating season, the bottom was quite literally paved with the critters. Chased all the flounder away too.
Lady Liberty would need a horseshoe crab somewhere in her ensemble.
How 'bout for a hat?

This is cool.

Thanks NetDoc.
Special thanks to RavenC and Deep South Divers for fanning the spark.

Hmmm. a mascot.
I like the lady liberty idea.

Thanks XJae an NEtdoc!

How about just a close of of the lady, kind of like theperspective of the Rangers logo, sorry ScottyK, but bear with me here.

A close up, just her face with a mask and a regulator?

Howabout what we go diving for off the NY-Jersey coast. A giant lobster with a Dive flag in one claw and an American flag held by the other claw.

I was reading this thread and realized it didn't make too much sense with the original first post cut out.
NetDoc once bubbled...

At the request of Xjae and him having met all of the requirements, we hereby open up the "Wreck Valley" chapter of NDI. It includes the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Y'all have fun now!

BTW, don't forget that you need to come up with a mascot. Maybe a Cracked Liberty Diving Bell??? How about Lady Liberty in a mask and BC??? Holding her HID light???

I also like Bills idea with the lobster, has it been used?
Something with a wreck in it might be alright.

Anybody an artist?
Without one it might have to be simple.

Congratulations!!!!!!!! :D

Isn't it great? R

but I think you need a better name than just "Wreck Valley."

I grew up an hour from Canada's only National Marine Underwater Park. Does that mean I live in Wreck Valley?

Brockville/Kingston has tonnes of shipwrecks to dive in. Do they live in Wreck Valley?

The New York/New Jersey Coastline has the Andrea Doria, U-Who, etc... do they live in Wreck Valley?

New England has tonnes of old fishing trawlers and North Carolina is supposedly riddled with wrecks - who lives in Wreck Valley?

It's deceiving, and with the greatest respect - should be renamed to reflect a location... XXXXX Wreck Valley Divers, or something like that.
