I was all set to go on vacation when I got a call thay may put me in Anchorage AK for a few days the first week of May. Right now it is still in the planning stages and may not happen. But if I do go, is it worth going a day or two early and taking my SCUBA gear. Not use to cold water diving, having done all my dives in the balmy 52-64F degree waters of Southern California.

So anyone out there from Anchorage area?

Or if you want, I can probably at least do a couple shore dives. You have a drysuit, right?[/QUOTE]

Unfortunatly, I am a wet suit guy. What is the May 1-6 water temps normally like in that neck of the woods?
