US traveling scuba divers often think of trips that require passport, but some great diving locations are found off of Florida, North Carolina, California, Washington, and even Texas among the ones I have enjoyed. For travel by June 25, great deals have been announced by American, which may be matched by others: Net SAAver & Special Offers - Edit: If that approach doesn't work, just try booking on AA.com. See post 3 below...

These deals come with many requirements, limits, add-ons, etc. of course. Spring Break is blacked out, and it ends just as peak vacation travel starts. Days other than Tuesday Wednesday will be higher.

Terms and Conditions
  1. * Fares shown are for round-trip Economy Class travel purchased on AA.com, and are in U.S. dollars. Fares shown are valid for travel Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Other travel days are available at an additional cost. Fares are subject to change without notice.
  2. * Fares do not include (a) a federal excise tax of $3.50 per U.S. domestic flight segment, defined as one takeoff and landing, of a passenger's itinerary; (b) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; and (c) September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport.
  3. * Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days prior to departure, or within 1 day of making reservations, whichever comes first.
  4. * Fares are valid for travel through June 25, 2008.
  5. * Travel is not valid February 24, 2008, or March 7 through April 8, 2008.
  6. * A Saturday night stay or up to a 3-night stay may be required, depending on destination.
  7. * Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Changes to your ticket may be made if you meet the restrictions of the new fare and pay up to a $100 fee plus any fare difference. Changes must be made before your ticketed flight's scheduled departure time. If you cancel your flight prior to scheduled departure time, the ticket will be valid for one year from the date of issue on an unused ticket or one year from travel origination on a partially used ticket. If you do not cancel your flight before scheduled departure time, the ticket has no value.
  8. * Advertised fares are valid only on American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnection and do not apply to other codeshare flights. Seats are limited. Fares may not be available on all flights. Schedules are subject to change without notice.
  9. * A portion or all travel booked on American Airlines may be operated by American Eagle or AmericanConnection. American Eagle is operated by American Eagle Airlines, Inc., or Executive Airlines, Inc., which are wholly owned by AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines. AmericanConnection service is operated by one of the following independent contractors: Trans States Airlines, Inc. or Chautauqua Airlines, Inc. American Eagle and AmericanConnection are registered trademarks of American Airlines, Inc.
  10. * Tickets may also be obtained (and changes may be made to tickets purchased from sources other than American Airlines, such as travel agents, online third-party web sites and other airlines) through an American Airlines Telephone Reservations Office for an additional $15, or at an American Airlines Travel Center or Airport Ticket Office for an additional $20
  11. * To purchase tickets on AA.com, you must use a credit card with a billing address in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, the United Kingdom, or select Latin American and Caribbean countries.

The fares are nice, but nowhere I want to go from Los Angeles. And I think American needs a new webmaster... what a clutzy way to present the information, having to wade through pages of fares from other airports just to get to LAX. Much simpler ways they could have implemented that for the customer. Thanks for posting them, Don.

Yeah, and when I tried to turn those pages to LBB-LAX on 5/23-5/27, I hit a dead end.

Alternatively you can simply go to Airline Tickets and Airline Reservations from American Airlines | AA.com - book what you want and get a fast quote. Looks that worked, for $228 since one day is not a Tuesday or Wednesday, plus taxes = $268. Continental wants $316 total and for me, it's worth the differences for my extra benefits.

I don't know what it was before...?
