No lobsters to be seen anywhere, but we came home with a 24 flounder and the BEST dive Ive ever had off Cape Canaveral at a little known place called The Rock. Ive never had such great vis 30+ and seen such an interesting collection of fish this far north. We had a 52 minute dive at a max depth of 52 with 80 degrees at the bottom, a slight current, and seas less than 2.
Maybe I havent made it to the right places here before, but this is the first time Ive seen huge queen angelfish and tons of soft corals around here. Our 17 year old newbie learned the need for maintaining a larger focus than just the little space of reef hes looking for lobsters under when he almost goosed a 4 turtle with his tickle stick. The place was crawling with rays, sheepshead, and grouper so I guess Ill be going back out there.
