I did my first dive solo (we only had one kit way back then and had to share it with three people) and 95% of my dives (numbering in the thousands) have been solo since then. If you are evil, then I am the devil incarnate.
Good on you for having a pony bottle with you. I almost always dive with mine even if I'm buddied up. The only exception is when I travel internationally. However, as Bob suggested, it is a good idea to get some additional training in solo diving. You really do not have a lot of experience although it does sound like you have received some good advice along the way.
