ok so i was planning to do a dive in a large pool on the tuolumne river at an altitude of 3000ft. i understand the theory of becomming acclimated to the lower atmospheric pressure(at that altitude) after 12 hours and thus not needing to begin dive using a repet group. is there any consideration for leaving the diving altitude right after the dive? will it be bad to descend down the mountain the same day as my dive?

There is no problem descending from an altitude dive, however, something that flatlanders tend to forget is to check for the possibility that you may ASCEND during the descent. Sometimes there are high mountain passes between your dive site and your final destination. That can present problems depending on the altitude.
