Here is a project I have been working on... A converted OMS canister for use as a canister light battery pack. For about 1/2 the price of Delrin, you can't beat this option. It will fit up to 10 18650 LiIon batteries in there. Modifications include- adding second o-ring to lid, adding switch/boot, switch guard, gland and lid cover. The plan is to mate these with custom built maglite heads for a truly affordable canister light. I'm talking the same amount of light as the big boys for 1/2 price or better! And no, the Mag heads won't be all hacked up, they will be custom machined to fit whatever LED/reflector combo used with custom cut glass lenses, bigger o-rings, etc...

Is that the EPIRB canister? I've had the notion to fashion a can out of one of those before, but never got around to it. How's it working out? Do you have to reinforce it?

Not sure what EPIRB stands for. It's what they call the OMS 660' canister. I assume it is a clear PVC body with grey PVC lids. It's working out great and no I am not reinforcing it. It is rated for 660' as is and I have had it in my pressure pot at 265 for 2 days without problems. I do add an extra small o-ring to the lid for additional sealing.
