Okay, so my first wetsuit, intended only for use only in wading depth and nearshore snorkeling, I bought off eBay. Mistake, I know -- the sizing information was vague, and when it arrived, it turned out to be a suit custom made for someone else (it bore a label saying so). Whomever it was must have been on the tubby side, because the farmer John bottoms were like a balloon in the middle, though the arms and legs fit properly. That was completely useless to me, so it went to the thrift store.:(

The beavertail top, on the other hand, is serviceable -- I have worn it in lakes just a bit too chilly for swimsuit alone -- but it flares out at the hips and lets too much water in there. Can it be taken in to fit my proper waist shape, and is it worthwhile to have this done?
