We are a Bit Limited with our Dates and we can go Either at around 7th September Full Moon or 21st September new Moon, which would you recommend to pick? I Read something about that hammerheads will be around Late September so might be Full Moon in early September too early?

No, I have always seen hammerheads in august, also always around full moon.

Hi! We also saw blue whales in mid to late October and they were crossing in front of Alor Divers right up against the house reef. They were also up and down the strait a lot. Frequent sightings!

I am planning my next trip and unfortunately the tentative dates happen to be in ghe weeks after full moon … hence my question!

Not easy to understand double negation logics.
- I have dived around full moon and sometimes NOT seen the hammerheads.
- I have dived out of full moon and NEVER seen Hammerheads.
- I have not dived around no moon and let's pretend they all are schrodinger hammerheads.
What would you conclude?

The inventors of this site have been diving it for more than 15 years and consider that around full moon is where you get the best chance. Now you can always try your luck.

Any feedback on Nautika Dive at Alor? It seems to be the cheapest one with dormitory without a singles supplement. Also the pricing seems to be with rental gear. Do the shops here give a discounted price without rental costs?
