And how far (hours/miles) do you drive to dive in a mudhole, quarry, lake, puddle, etc?

I'm about an hour from the ocean but maybe 2 1/2 hours from the "good" korean dive sites. Fortunately I'm a quick and cheap flight away from SEA and Guan/Saipan although I haven't made it down to the later yet.

the trek to the nearest diving entails about 150ft walk across ironshore, and then you are in the sea. For easy access, I have to drive a whole one mile down the road and I can walk in at Babylon.

Show off ;)

I'm about 1.5 hours to the nearest spot from Albuq., Blue Hole in Santa Rosa. Not a bad spot, with great viz and constant 62° water temp. However it is VERY popular with the surrounding region and sometimes can get crowded.

Landlocked would nicely describe my location. There is a mudhole (quarry, very silty, dove there ONCE) about 40 minutes away. Other than that, I'm 1.5 to 2 hours away from several lakes (Erie, Ontario, Huron and Simcoe. Most of my diving has been Georgian Bay to Tobermory area. ie: COLD Among the most enjoyable have been Lake Simcoe

I am about 1.5 hours from a quarry, and REALLY far from the ocean :(

30-45 mins from the nearest quarry

3-3.5 hours from nearest ocean boat diving (wrecks) - VA Beach or Indian River Inlet, Delaware

5-7 hours from North Carolina wrecks (my favorite)

'Tis a pity living in Lower Alabama, AKA the Redneck Riviera AKA the Florida Panhandle... Blackwater rivers, crystal clear springs and the Gulf (which can be "blackwater" to crystal clear on any given day - roll the dice).
If I didn't have to work for a living I'd be diving every day.
