I've heard that Aqualung is still making the military version of the Conshelf with a metal second stage. The US military has rated this reg to 190 feet and 37 degrees farenheit. The conshelf has the same parts as a Titan and the design hasn't changed since the 60's (internally) There are more Conshelf parts around the world than any other brand and will continue to be for a very long time.
I'm thinking the next reg I get might be this just because it's extremely simple and bullet proof.

I have conshelfs for all of my single hose diving regulators. I have two 22s that I use for diving doubles with DIN adapters on them, a 14 that I use for recreational diving, and a VI, XI, and XII for vintage diving. I think the conshelf is the most reliable single hose regulator ever made. I have put mine through the ringer and they have never had any kind of failure. I used one that had the original HP seat in it from 1965 and it still worked. These regs are bomb-proof. The legend and titan use conshelf parts in them, so in a way they are the modern (non-military) iteration of the conshelf. If I was going to be a dive bum, and I could only carry one regulator, it would be a conshelf.

Actually I wish I'd gone with Atomic also. I think it's ultimately a better product then Scubapro.
I think they slip me free parts when I'm over the limit to keep me coming in. I have options as to where I can take my stuff if they piss me off and they know it.

Just got off phone with very large local Scubapro center that stated if you miss a year or two or many you simply pay for the service parts for one year than Scubapro reinstates your parts warranty. That makes sence!

I have a Conshelf XI that an old guy gave me.It's from somewhere in the 60's, 1 HP port and 2 LP ports with a thin low pressure yolk clamp. That reg was used once upon a time to help raise the world record biggest single piece of jade out of jade cove in Big Sur, California back in 1974.
It needs to be gone through but I'm going to use it. Like an idiot I dropped the second stage on the ground and broke the compression ring. I either need to solder the crack or find another one. I was so mad when that happened!

If you are talking about the band clamp that holds the cover onto the second stage, then I have a whole box full. Send me your info and I'll get you one.
