My wife and I (no kids) are planning a 7 day trip to Cozumel end of June or July. She is not a diver but I am. (Divemaster 300+ dives) Never been to Cozumel but am looking for a nice Dive resort that is all-inclusive, good food/some intertainment..good snorkling close by and diving preferably with an on site dive op. Close enough to walk to town or?? (3+ star ratings).
Any good packages including air fight...Any suggestions?????

We are going to Fiesta Americana for the 2nd time. Its costs were very good. All inclusive was very agressive and decent food. Onsite dive op is Dive House. Other good shops will pickup at the pier. Most reefs are south of the resort. Located south of town 7-8 miles. Taxi is $7 each way to town. Not much entertainment. Large (300+ rooms) clean quiet hotel. There are other good hotels as well. I am sure some of the regular SB'ers can tell you of them. You will love Coz. Its a great deal right now. Good luck on your choice.

Snorkleing is the problem, not much in Cozumel. Best from shore is between ViLLablanca hotel and Caribe Blue.

Hotel Cozumel is walking distance to town and you could do AI or Euro plan. Nice pool.
Scuba Club is Food only AI just down the street from HC. They are the closest AI to town except for the Palace which is 5* and very expensive.

You sound like a good prospect for Scuba Club, but you won't get any entertainment there. Whether or not your wife would enjoy the very laid back atmosphere would depend on if she's comfortable spending time in a hammock on the beach with a good book. They also have a pool that is also nice and quiet without a lot of screaming kids. It is very quiet there during the day once all the divers head out. Its not a luxurious, glamorous kind of place. Just very authentic with a wonderful atmosphere that's not like any place else that you might stay. The staff there is about the best I've seen anywhere.

I second Scuba Club as a good option. It's a easy walk to town, so if your wife likes exploring, she can do it on her own terms without figuring the time and cost of cabs into her plans.

Hotels farther south might offer some entertainment, but the farther you go the more isolated she'll feel and her options will be somewhat limited to what's on site because of the high cost of getting anywhere else.

Scuba Club is your place.

Simple, clean, good food, on-site dive op, pool, hammocks, etc. All-inclusive except alcoholic drinks. Separate prices for divers and non-divers.

Not much in the way of snorkeling from resorts on Cozumel, the reefs are too far out and too deep (Paradise is the closest, 30 feet deep).

Scuba Club is close to to downtown San Miguel, it will take 5-10 minutes to walk to town, taxis won't be necessary.

We spend 1-2 weeks every year at Scuba Club.
