Scuba Club Cozumel gets my vote too! If you want to be around other friendly divers, share stories and pictures, meet fun people, eat great food, walk into town to enjoy the local culture, and experience fantastic diving, you can't beat SCC at any price.

My last trip report from March 2008. Lots of pictures. Lots of fun!

I am looking for an all inclusive dive resort in Cozumel (includes diving and food). I plan on going the first weekend in Dec. for 5 nights. Any suggestions would be helpful. I was looking a scuba club cozumel and Hotel Cozumel and Resort. Thanks. :cool2:

For a fussy eater do SSC lite package. You get breakfast and lunch, then walk to town and sample all the great spots for dinner. You can get all kinds of meals. I am a very bland eater and found that most restaurants will make something up for you if you ask. I was at La Choza 3 weeks ago and had plane chicken strips off the grill and the waiter brought some lemon and black pepper. Very tasty cut up and wrapped in some wheat tortilla.

I did not know SCC had such an option!! All meals at SCC are fairly good. At lunch you will see what the dinner options are (usually 2 choices) and could make the call to go to town if you want. But then you would probably miss a night shore dive unless you dive fairly late. When unsure about a night dive, get the tanks and put them in your locker. I woke up at 4:30 one morning and could not get back to sleep. The tanks in the locker saved the morning but my wife was not interested. Go Figure.:shocked2:

Oh my god, a night shore dive... this has never occurred to me before. I am SO all over that. Thanks awap!

I don't think anyone has mentioned fiesta americana. Fiesta americana is a bit farther south on the island (10minute taxi to downtown-ish)

The food was ok, though not alot of choices. The dive shop is "dive house II" and they are very good (10-12 divers per boat max). They have european and all inclusive. Room was clean, bed was hard (every place I go in mexico I run into this...I must be spoiled).

I'm going in february - and will be going to hotel cozumel and resort...I picked them because they are very close to town - fiesta americana was quite a ways out - I'm going to go - eat breakfast and lunch at the hotel - dinner in town.

I'm diving with papa hogs, not the dive shop onsite...I want smaller boats with fewer divers this time.

At any rate - by the time you see this - you'll be back from your trip - be sure and tell us where you went and how you liked it.

thanks,

Ray

(do you think if global warming got bad enough we could get a carribean coast line in Oklahoma? Sorry, I'm just being an optimist.)

My son and I spent a great week on Cozumel. We stayed at Hotel Cozumel on the AI plan and dived with Aldora. Aldora picked us up on time every day from the hotel's dock and we did the cenotes with them 1 day (Dos Ojos). The hotel's breakfasts and lunches were fine and very convenient. We ate some dinners there but walked or biked into town at least half the time. Hotel Cozumel has bike rental included and alcoholic beverages are also included. Accomodations and operator worked out perfectly for us

My wife and I stayed at the Occidental Grand for our first anniversary. They do have on site scuba how ever we had Scuba With Alison pick us up at the hotel, on their boat. If you choose to go here, book with a travel agent, and have them sign you up for Club Go Go. Thats a travel agency for travel agents. For an extra $25 per person, which is the 13 month membership fee, we got bumped to the Royal Club. Nicer rooms, more formal restraunt that required a collared shirt and no shorts or sandals, private swimming pool as well. The hotel was great.

We stayed at Hotel Cozumel dove with Dive Paradise, the Dive op was 8 out of 10 the food a 7 out of 10, we are going back this year but staying at a different Hotel and diving with a different Dive op due to availability all in all we enjoyed our stay and the diving is fantastic.
