All advice will be greatly appreciated - 4 adults in Belize but only one diver

If you look at a map of Belize you'll notice the Barrier Reef angles away from shore as it runs the length of the country it's closest in the North on Ambergris Caye and farthest away in the South where Placencia is. This is big. On Ambergris the dive and snorkel locations are minutes away and in Placencia the Reef trips usually include lunch because you'll be out there a while. As an extra bonus Ambergris Caye doesn't have cruse ship visitors.

We don't expect many cruise people in Placencia, as NCL is building a facility near Independence where they will line up their buses to take people to some of the inland adventure sites - again, we will not take people to those destinations when the cruise ships are in (same as we do not now take them to Jaguar Paw zip line and cave tubing on days cruise ships are in Belize City).

Well, that's good news for Placencia. But I thought NCL was building some sort of Six Flags-type amusement park out on one of the cayes for their guests. Or is that just an option?

Yes, they are building some sort of park on Harvest Caye and we hope they are very successful in keeping their guests on that caye rather than going to Silk Cayes or the Maya ruins.
