Took a buddy out to Alexander Springs yesterday so he could try out his new gear. We got there just after they opened and the place was desserted. The water was beautiful. The shallow dive was great. At that time of the morning the fish were everywhere. We saw a couple of turtles and for the big surprise, a 4ft. gator. The catfish were in the main boil doing the dart from the top to the bottom. After diving the boil for awhile we decided to swim down the run. We got to the rope that divided the swiming area from the fishing area and there was a beautiful sight. There must have been a hundred bass swimming with the carp. They were everywhere. We went alittle futher, and that is when the rangers went nuts. DO NOT SWIM PAST THE BARRIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They ask us(hahaha) to go back, and swim the roped off area. Overall it was a great time. It is good for about one tank, and you have seen everything there is to see. It is great place for some pictures also.
