Lol, those are 2 screen guards, different ways of achieving the same thing, protecting the computer screen.
The plastic one is garbage, not the quality of it, just a poor design, which almost all manufacturers copy. It does indeed protect the screen, but it makes it hard to read the computer, either by glare, excessive scratch, condensation, bubbles, etc. and contrary to some beliefs that it also protects the outer edge of the computer, it doesn’t, that’ll get scratched regardless.
The rubberized adhesive on the other hand, does everything the plastic one does, without any of the flaws. It even seems to last way longer as it doesn’t scratch as easy as the plastic version since it is recessed in the computer as opposed to the plastic which sticks out.
I little finess installing the adhesive is required, obviously you need to make sure the screen is clean before installing, grab by the edges to avoid finger prints marks, lign up well and “roll” into the screen to avoid bubbles. It will look blurry after you put it in, but it will smooth it out after the first dive, it just needs some pressure on it.
The adhesive on the plastic screen protector is funny lol. Hey, the protector needs protection too lol
