Hi,

So my current setup on the sidewinder is using a 2L Aluminum O2 bottle and of course the butt is rising during the dive when O2 is consumed.

Any tips/tricks to remedy this problem?

Thanks,
Christophe.

Moving gas to the upper body in the dry suit should be enough to compensate a 2L tank

Which sidemount harness? Can you post a picture of the rigging of your oxygen bottle? Depending on the answers to those, you can use bungee, argon bottle straps, or a combination of both to remedy the situation.

@LFMarm I believe he’s inquiring about the bottle floating, not how to compensate for the weight of the bottle.

Hi Grant,

Thanks for the answer. I use xdeep. Setup is quite simple I use 2 bottle straps on the O2 that are clipped on the central part of the harness. I’ll take a photo next time I go to the dive shop, I am not with my gear right now.

where would you put the bungee?

Thanks,
Christophe
