I am in a dilemma of which BC to get. Mares offers Airtrim and Cressi offers Flight Control System. So far, I am not able to find any pros and cons on websites about them. Cressi claims that their BC remains dry inside by using the Flight Control System. The inflation and deflation functions of both, however, remains similar. The only pro and con of both makes that I have heard about is, Mares provides better support than Cressi in my country. Any technical and costing opinions are welcome, PLEASE!!! :06:

I have a Dacor (Mares) Nautica with air trim. It works great. I dove with it numerous times and it has never had water in the bladder. It does take time to get use to when inflating and deflating, I was reaching for a hose to raise above my head to dump air the first couple of dives. It is easy to clean by removing one of the dump valves to add water. The only thing that I do not like is the location of the self inflation tube, and the small diameter of the tube.

Are all BCs which are not having "conventional corrugated hose" dry on the inside?

Are you sure you've never had water in the bladder :D

No seriously i've dived a Morphus twin and I know a few people who bought that Hub thingy (Me and Mrs Mares will be retiring on the back of that one ;) ), and some more who have one of the various types around, Some of the divers are new and some of them behave like fish in the water........

They all take in water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :06:

What's wrong with some water in one's BC bladder? After a week or two of 2 or 3 dives per day, I can usually empty a pint or less of salt water from my BC. So what?

Saltwater getting in is no problem, as long as it gets washed out as well...

Is it still possible to orally inflate these types of BCs? Only ever given them a cursory glance.
There's a inflation tube in the left pocket, one way valve, very easy to use. ;)

These BCs have the same kind of claptrap that the HUB has on it.

Both are wonderful BCs... ...for separating the consumer from their hard earned dollar.

Please take some time and read the HUB thread about these "features": http://www.scubaboard.com/t1214.html

Ps. You need to add the option "Wouldn't use one of these if it was given to me" in your poll.
